Creative Coasters

This was an incredibly simple project with stunning results.

I had picked up some scrap wood from my local dumpster day.  Just simple remnant pieces of wood, end pieces that had been cut for something else.

After sanding and slightly shaping them, I applied two coats of Behr Premium paint (color: magnette) to just one side.  Then I coated all sides in two coats of Minwax Polycrylic protective finish, allowing three hours of dry time between coats.

I love it when form and function can coincide!  I particularly like the two-tone layered edges.

Very nice! I love the way the wood looks layered and glued together.
