Mud Room Makeover

Stepping inside a beautiful entrance is just the beginning to enjoying a home.  Everything you see when you first enter a space defines your initial impression of the space, so you want it to be clean, fresh, and uncluttered.  The entrance room (or mud room) in the house was lacking in all of the above, so it was necessary to tackle this next.  Due to the seasons here in the northeast, I needed this room to be very easy to clean when I dragged in leaves, mud, and snow and yet still look inviting.

The floor was unfinished concrete, which made it a perfect blank slate

I thoroughly cleaned the floor, then applied a coat of Behr Concrete Epoxy and Garage Floor paint.  Then applied three coats of Polycrylic Protective Clear Coat, allowing ample time for drying between each application.

And now, the floor is simple, clean and durable – the perfect place to slip off my boots before heading to the living room to relax!
